HERE’s THE LOWDOWN

  • As part of the event, we have accommodation at Springhead for everyone from Sunday 20 July - Tuesday 22 July!

    The Springhead Trust is predominantly an education facility, so think less Premier Inn and more primary school trip... Saying that, the rooms are comfortable and you’d be with us right there on site for the whole experience!

    We would love for you to stay with us at Springhead, but also want you to be comfortable, so if you would like to stay elsewhere - we won’t be offended! There’s The Old Forge in Compton Abbas up the road: https://www.theoldforgedorset.co.uk/ or else there are hotels in nearby Shaftesbury!

  • There is no official dress code. We are happy for you to wear whatever you would like for the occasion! But we’ve pulled together some general guidance if it helps with the decision making and packing:

    • Aim for a smart casual vibe

    • Suits are optional

    • Prioritise comfort - weather dependent it could be a long, hot day! (Or a cold, wet one…)

    • If you’re staying with us on site at Springhead, why not pack for some costume changes on the day if you’d like!

    And of course, we’re always here for a touch of the fabulous and outrageous - you know us!

    Bottom line. We’re happy if you’re happy.

  • We all know how overwhelming packing can be so here are a few bits for you to remember as you’re throwing everything into the bag:

    • If you’re staying with us at Springhead, you will need to bring your own towel and toiletries.

    • Also for those at Springhead, the accommodation is basic so pack any comforts you’d like for sleeping. Extra layers, a favourite blanket, you’re personal orthopaedic pillow…

    • It’s July in the UK. So who knows what the weather is going to do, pack options for any situation!

    • … you might need those 3D glasses again on the day!

    • We have the entire venue to ourselves from Sunday 20 - Tuesday 22 July. There is ample parking on site and you can leave any cars right there for the duration of your stay.

    • For (hopefully) obvious reasons, the entire event is going to be strictly gluten free. We will be catering from Sunday - Tuesday as best we can so please don’t bring food on site so we can avoid any risk of cross-contamination.

    • Welcome to rural Dorset. You probably won’t have any signal. There is WiFi available at the venue but we’d recommend checking your travel route in advance in case you lose connection on your way over there.

Sunday 20 JULY

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE JOURNEY

We are SO EXCITED to see you! We will be at Springhead from the Sunday, ready to graciously welcome you to Dorset! If it aligns with your travel plans, we’d love for you to join us on Sunday evening to get together over some casual food and drinks. Of course you’re welcome to arrive anytime on the Sunday, just let us know your plans (and know that if you’re too early you might be roped in and given a job to do!)

MONDAY 21 JULY

IT’S GO TIME!

We’ll keep things easy breezy to start off the morning with some brekkie bits on offer on site from around 9ish and through the morning so you can move at your own pace. And then we can all meet in the courtyard for 1:00ish before we flippin’ well get married!

TUESDAy 22 JULY

BREAKFAST & GOODBYES

We’re going to do an informal breakfast again to come and grab whenever you wake up. The venue wants us out for about 3PM so we’ve got a good chunk of time to wrap up the fun and have many hugs.

There is a different entrance (shown below on the map) that you’ll end up at when using Google Maps etc, this entrance will be locked and inaccessible. You will need to continue further around to the other car park-specific entrance (signposted by the road).

Coming by train?

You want to travel to Gillingham (Dorset) and not Gillingham (Kent). We will pick you up from one but you’ll have to adventure your way across the country if you find yourself in the other!
